Abstract

This study aims to describes the languange acquisition of rural children aged 5 years at the level of phonology, morphology, and syntax. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collectionusing the record, see, and note method. Methods of analyzing data using flow analysis methods. The results of study indicate that (1) at the level of phonology, the child has been able to pronounce the sound of consonants and vowels well and has been able to distinguish meaning through the sound of the phoneme; (2) at the level of morphology, children have been able to form several morphemes that show grammatical functions and even found mixed code languages in the affixation process; (3) in the syntactic aspect, children have been able to mention declarative, interrogative, and imperative utterances, sentence structures are patterned, and the number of vocabularies they have is more.
